Should I get Breast Implants?

A few years ago several of my close friends decided to get breast implants.  I had been naturally endowed and did not need the procedure.  As it turns out they all admitted that they had been jealous over the years of boobs and wanted large ones of there own.

It did not matter how petite they were, all wanted to go for the biggest ones the doctor could squeeze in.  Preferably a D cup.  All were willing to go through the pain and the high cost of the procedure.  No one could be talked out of it.  They all thought that they would be able to breast feed later on when they had kids. 

All were given two options for the procedure, either through the nipple or through the navel.  All three chose through the navel.  Luckily for them the complications were minimal. 

Now years later all three regret the decision.  As it turns out the grass is not always greener on the other side of the fence.  Their biggest complaint is that men no longer look at their beautiful faces or lovely smile.  Men only look at their boobs now.  Sure they get a lot more attention, but unfortunately it is not the attention that they had wanted.Photo by Malingering

How to Just Do It!

Everyday we are faced with things that we must do that are difficult.  Sometimes we choose not to to them because it is so tough and then we must live with the consequences.  To do the right thing we need to motivate ourselves to do what needs to be done.  Motivation is difficult but we can all do it.

First we must decide what it is that we need to do.  Define it clearly so that there is no difficulty understanding what must be done.  Plan out the steps as far out as you can.

Next tell yourself that you have the control over what happens.  You can take control or you can let it go and suffer the consequences.  Once you have decided to take control it will be easier to do what you need to do.

Create a mantra for yourself.  Give yourself the “I can do it” power punch. 

Do not allow negative feelings or issues hold you back.  Clear them from your mind.  Use a visualization technique to erase them from your brain.  Pretend like your brain is a write on wipe off board.  Whenever bad or negative thoughts enter your brain and try to slow you down, just erase them.

You can do it, I know you can!

Get Healthy Step Five

You are almost there.  There is just one more thing and not everyone will need to do it, only those of us that have bad habits.  You must stop all of your bad habits.  Now you do not need to stop all of your bad habits at one time.  Just one step at a time.  Also, you do not want to tell yourself that you can never do these things again.  You need to maintain mental control over yourself.  Tell yourself that you can do them, but you just do not want to do them today.

Bad habits that should be quit are:  smoking of any kind - smoking is a death sentence for you and your loved ones, junk food such as soda and donuts - cause obesity which leads to death, dwelling on negative things - stress is also a killer, eating fast food - once again a killer.

You can do it, I know you can.  Diet and weight loss are easy tasks to take on to save your life.  It is much easier to diet and lose weight than it is to have surgery or worse die and leave your loved ones without you.

 Take your health seriously, save your life today.

Get Healthy Step Four

Congratulations!  If you have come this far you are now eating healthier and exercising on a regular basis.  Keep up the good work.  Now it the time for you to keep up a positive mental attitude.  Don’t be discouraged if you miss a day exercising or eat too much at a party.  Just get right back on the wagon and keep going.  Come up with a positive, motivating mantra for yourself such as “I know I can” or “Just keep moving”.  Use this mantra to keep your mind clear of negative thoughts. 

To help keep your mind positive avoid talking about your diet or weight loss plans with negative individuals.  The last thing you need is someone raining on your parade.  Just allow them to see the results.  Soon they will see you lean and strong and they will ask you how you got that way.  People that are naysayers could thwart your entire progress.  Avoid them!

If negative thoughts about problems or issues you have in your life keep popping up in your mind.  Erase them.   Visualize that your mind is a large chalk board and the negative thoughts are written on the chalk board.  Now imagine yourself with an eraser, erasing all of the negative thoughts.  Do this everytime the negative thoughts pop into your head.  There is no need for you to dwell on anything, it never helps and it can actually hurt you.  Stress kills and it ruins your motivation for continuing with your new healthy lifestyle.  Hakuna Matata! No worries!

Get Healthy Step Three

After you have cleaned out your kitchen and started eating healthy, the next thing you will want to do is add exercise.  You will need to exercise a minimum of three days a week.  Optimally you would want to exercise five days per week, but you can work up to that amount.

SLOW START PROGRAM - If you are not in shape, you can start slowly.  You may want to consult a doctor before starting any exercise program.  Start by walking just five minutes per day, three days per week.  Slowly increase until you are walking 45-60 minutes per day, five days per week.

REGULAR START PLAN - If you are in reasonable shape and have recently spoken with your doctor about starting and exercise plan, you should be able to walk 30 minutes per day, three days per week, gradually increasing until you are walking 60 minutes per day, five days per week.

Next you will want to add some weight training.  There are things that you can do even if you do not have access to weights, you can do lunges, squats and crunches.  If you do have dumbells, you can learn various arm exercises.  Slowly increase your weight training until you are weight training for at least 30 minutes, three days per week.

Lose Your Extra Love Handles

Take control of your life and your health by proactively making easy changes now.  If you are like me, your love handles are there for a reason, you have created them. What you really need is a lifestyle change to lose them and make sure they do not come back.

CLEAN OUT THAT KITCHEN - Please see my article on tips for a Healthy Kitchen. Rid your kitchen of all of it’s evils even the things you didn’t think were evil. Throw out all products with high fructose corn syrup, and products with partially hydrogenated oils. Throw them all out.

RESTOCK - Stock your kitchen with healthy food that you can eat in large quantities, such as blueberries, baby carrots, cherry tomatoes, sweet potatoes, steel cut oats, sprouted wheat bread, brown rice and corn tortillas.

GET MOVING - Clean, garden, reorganize your house, play with your kids, go up the stairs an extra time, park at the far end of the lot and start walking each day. You can start out slow, walking 5-10 minutes per day. Work yourself up to 60 minutes per day within 1 month. Add in other exercises such as crunches and weight training.

CONCENTRATED EXERCISE - There are many different kinds of abdominal exercises that can help with your center. Double crunches, crunches, reverse crunches, you’ll feel it if you do them correctly!

KEEP UP THE POSITIVE MENTAL ATTITUDE - You can do it, I know that and you know that, you just need to do it everyday. Create and use a personal mantra to keep you going. Say it to yourself daily. For example: I know I can!

How to Reduce Your Double Chin

Some of us may not even realize we have a double chin. If you suspect you have one, look in the mirror sideways, you’ll get glimpse if there is one there.

GENERAL GOOD HEALTH - If you change your lifestyle, begin eating healthy, exercising regularly and stop eating junk food, you will lose that double chin naturally. All though this is my best choice, I realize that it is a difficult one. For some, even after weight loss, there is still excess skin that needs to be removed by another method.

EXERCISE THE CHIN - Huh? Exactly! I know there are those out there that recommend exercising your chin to remove it, this sounds absolutely ludicrous to me. Step One is the clear winner here.

DISSOLVING THE FAT - Now this one may be plausible. Talk to your doctor about the details, but I hear that it requires multiple doctor visits and injections. You may want to ask about the success rate and if the fat comes back easily.

ULTRASOUND - I am not a doctor so it sounds good to me. I still prefer Step One over this other methods. Question your doctor thoroughly about this method.

CHIN WRAP - Oh, please. I should just wrap this thing around my double chin and it will eliminate it! If you want a good fantasy, go to Disneyland it will be cheaper.

COSMETIC SURGERY - I am sure this works, but the risks seem awfully high for something that you can do at home with diet and exercise.

No we are back to reality. If you really want to lose that chin, start taking better care of yourself. Read my other articles on healthy weight loss.
